OK! quotes a friend of Carrie's as saying, "She finds Jessica's love of putting her life on display pretty desperate. "She laughed at the People cover, because it's the same one Jess did about John Mayer - same smile, same look, except she's a little fatter." The country music sensation, 25, recalls a time when she has just found her success on "American Idol." A guy who ignored her in college suddenly "wanted to explain." She tells the beauty magazine, "You never really know why somebody wants to be around you, or if they do genuinely like you. I wish everybody had a label on their forehead so you could automatically tell their intentions." Underwood, who had been inducted into the exclusive Nashville's Grand Ole Opry earlier this year, admits that she had been cheated on and lied to by someone she refuses to name "even though he probably deserves it." But just to set the record straight, it's not ex-boyfriend Chace Crawford, who she had broken up with through text messaging. She says of her split with the "Gossip Girl" star, "We didn't have a fight. No one cheated. It plain didn't work." And as for her other famous former flame, Dallas Cowboys player Tony Romo, she admits she still hears from him sometimes but she'll "maybe not answer" the call. Underwood is a supporter of the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) and has done several public service announcements for the organization. Personal life: Underwood performed at halftime of the Thanksgiving Day football game at Texas Stadium and has been connected socially with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, attending his birthday party in April of 2007.
