Lindsay Lohan’s dad tells E! News he provided a DNA sample for a paternity test this morning and is now convinced that the results will shoot down a woman’s claim that he fathered a daughter with her while he was separated from ex-wife Dina Lohan. On Friday, the 48-year-old Lohan patriarch acknowledged having sexual relations on two occasions with Kristi Kauffman, a woman he met in Houston in the mid-’90s. He said he initially believed Kauffman’s claims that her daughter, Ashley, was his, but now Lohan says the math doesn’t make sense. “We were together in July of ‘94. I think it was just before The Parent Trap came out because that’s when Dina and I were separated,” he tells E! News. “[Kristi] left me and went to Houston, Texas, and she met a guy she lived with there for a year.” According to his time line, Lohan says, Ashley, now 13, was born in June 1995—a difference of 11 months—which is why he ran out to get this test done right away. “She had me so convinced. She had me snowballed,” he says, adding that he even communicated with the girl he believed was Lindsay’s secret sis by telephone, even helping her with her homework. “Here I was sitting in jail going through a divorce, felt like I had no hope and then someone sends me a letter and says I have a baby. And I thought maybe this is what I’m supposed to do next,” he says. The results of the paternity test will be ready in 10-12 days and should settle the matter, he says. If he is proven to be Ashley’s father, he tells E! News he is prepared to make good, and will finally have a face-to-face with her. “Then I’ll sit down and meet with my kids. Let my kids decide if they want to meet her and when,” he adds. On Friday, Kauffman, a 44-year-old massage therapist, told E! News that Lohan promised “to do for Ashley what he did for Lindsay’s career, the whole thing,” but then had second thoughts. “He was supposed to take a paternity test seven years ago , but he disappeared off the face of the earth,” she said. “I just want this to be resolved and the truth to be told.” *** June 28, 2008: "Lindsay Lohan Has a Secret Sister" Lindsay Lohan has a secret 13-year-old half-sister she has never met, the actress' father has revealed. Lindsay Lohan has been caught up in the riddle of a $11,000 fur coat, which went missing from a birthday party in a New York bar. Masha Markova claims her blond mink jacket vanished when she tried to retrieve it from a bundle of coats at trendy nightspot 1 Oak, where she was celebrating the birthday of a friend on January 26. Two weeks later she spotted Lindsay Lohan, who was also present at the birthday party, wearing an identical garment in the pages of a celebrity magazine in photographs taken the same night the coat went missing. A source close to the New York designer said: ‘Jill wanted to go for a celebrity to make her fashion line more high profile. Hugh Hefner had reportedly offered Lindsay Lohan the chance to pose naked as Marilyn Monroe for Playboy magazine. The 81 year ole was so impressed by the Lindsay's tribute to Marilyn's last photo shoot, he asked Lindsay to recreate the screen icon's infamous nude swimming scene from her unfinished film 'Something's Got To Give'. She told PEOPLE about the photos "It was very tastefully done. I respect the photographer as an artist, so I look at them artistically. For him to call Lindsay 46 years later and to say can you recreate these photos is an honor. I looked at it as art, and as Lindsay doing a character. So I don't look at them like it's Playboy; she was being a character. So if you look at it that way, you can look at it as a mother." *** February 18, 2008: "Lindsay goes nude for a recreation of the hottest Marilyn Monroe Shoot" Lindsay is on the cover of New York Magazine, remaking the famous Marilyn Monroe nude photo shoot "The Last Sitting". Lindsay wears a blonde wig in the shots similar to Monroe’s hairstyle and is topless in all the pictures. The shoot was done by photographer Bert Stern, who also shot Monroe’s "The Last Sitting" in 1962. Monroe was found dead from an apparent drugs overdose just six weeks after the famous shoot. Now 46 years later, Stern and Lohan have recreated the shots of Monroe. *** February 2,2008: "Lindsay Lohan - Paris Hilton catfight at Grammy" Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton had a huge cat-fight at Timbaland's pre-Grammy party on Saturday. Lindsay and Paris were both trying for Timbaland’s attention to revive their failing careers music careers. The confrontation kicked off when the hard-partying starlets came face-to-face. Slant magazine called it "contrived ... for all the so-called weighty subject matter, there's not much meat on these bones." Due to this, A Little More Personal (Raw) was not as successful as her previous album, Speak. A Little More Personal (Raw), with little promotion, was still certified gold by the RIAA on January 18, 2006 after debuting on the Billboard 200 at #20, while "Speak" went platinum after debuting at #4. Untitled third studio album: Universal Music Group moved Lohan from Casablanca to Motown Records in February 2006. In March, she told OK! magazine that she was writing lyrics for her third album, which she called "different [from] the first two". The November 2006 edition of In Style reported a Christmas 2006 release, but it was pushed back. Personal life: Lohan has been a frequent attendee at various nightclubs and social events - at times being photographed with nightlife fixtures like Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. Responding to the media's portrayal of her as a "party girl", Lohan commented, "People say, 'Oh, she goes out and she parties'. No, we are just going out and having fun." Lohan's three car accidents in 2005 were widely reported. The first was a minor rear-ender, though the victims later threatened to sue her. In the second, she suffered minor injuries when a paparazzo who was following her for a photograph hit her car. Police called the crash intentional, but prosecutors said there was not enough evidence to file criminal charges. In the third, Lohan struck a van in West Hollywood. Police ruled that the van's driver made an illegal U-turn. When VH1 named Lohan "Big 'It' Girl" for its 'Big' in '05 Awards in December, it was, Lohan quipped, "because being Big in '05 means getting in three car crashes in one year, people!". January 2006, Lohan went to hospitals twice. In the first incident, she cut herself on a broken teacup while in London; in the second incident, she suffered an asthma attack while in Miami. Lohan's fourth 2006 hospital visit occurred in September when Lohan was treated at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York City after breaking her wrist. On January 18, 2007, Lohan checked herself in to the Wonderland Center rehabilitation facility in West Hollywood's Laurel Canyon area. Through her representative, she issued a statement saying, "I have made a proactive decision to take care of my personal health." In a later interview, Lohan said, "It's so weird that I went to rehab. I always said I would die before I went to rehab." But she added that, even after regularly attending meetings of Alcoholics Anonymous, "I don't know that I'm necessarily an addict." Controversies: May 26, 2007 arrest: On May 26, 2007, Lohan lost control of her Mercedes-Benz convertible and struck a curb. Police found "additional contraband" in the car - which was tentatively identified as a "useable" amount of cocaine. After receiving treatment for minor injuries, Lohan was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. Two days later, Lohan entered the Promises rehabilitation facility in Malibu, staying for 45 days. A week later, on July 20, Lohan, accompanied by her attorney, surrendered herself to be fingerprinted and photographed. She was released on her own recognizance and assigned a court date of August 24. July 24, 2007 arrest: In the pre-dawn hours of July 24, 2007, the Santa Monica police received a 911 call from a car being driven by Michelle Peck - whose daughter had left her employment as Lohan's personal assistant several hours previously. Peck reported that she was being chased by a white GMC and feared for her safety. The police later found Peck and Lohan having a "heated debate" in the parking lot of the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. Lohan refused to take a breathalyzer test, but agreed to other field sobriety tests. After failing these tests, she was taken to a police station where her blood alcohol level was tested at between 0.12 and 0.13 percent - above the California legal limit of 0.08 percent. While conducting a search, the police found a small amount of cocaine in her pocket. Lohan was booked on felony charges of possession of cocaine and transportation of a narcotic - in addition to misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license. CBS News reported that some days later, Lohan checked into Cirque Lodge, a drug rehab, alcohol and addiction treatment center in Sundance, Utah. This represents Lohan's third rehab program in 2007. On August 14, 2007, Tracie Rice filed a lawsuit against Lohan at Los Angeles County Superior Court for assault and negligence for the incident of July 24. On August 23, 2007, it was announced that Lohan would serve one day in jail and 10 days community service for both her DUI arrests. She will also be on probation for a maximum of 3 years. Lohan was also ordered to complete an 18-month alcohol education program, pay hundreds of dollars in fines and must complete a three-day county coroner program in which she’ll visit a morgue and talk to victims of drunken drivers.
